Porter/Maintenance Technician - Full Time Position

Jacksonville, Florida


Experience: 1 year

Education Level: High School or GED required (training would be possible for the right motivated candidate with sufficient mechanical skills)

Salary Range: $20 - $24

Summary: The overarching objective is to ensure the facility functions in a manner that is safe, clean, productive and efficient. This requires continual monitoring, maintenance, and repair of all equipment, machinery, tooling, etc.; as well as proactive management of various supplies and materials.

Essential Job Functions:

•        Follow ALL company/ safety rules and quality standards

•        Ensure shop and work are clean and organized

•        Complete janitorial tasks as needed

•        Organize, document, and stage shop materials including scrap and raw material

•        Material handling and inventory control

•        Ensure scrap is monitored and handled in accordance with company procedures

•        Proactively monitor equipment systems to include lubrication and filtration components

•        Routinely inspect safety equipment as per company and manufacturer requirements

•        Assemble products purchased for shop and office use


Required Skills:

Required Materials

  • Steel toe footwear

  • Standard safety glasses w/side shields – company provides

  • Prescription safety glasses must be approved by OSHA standard and have side shields

  • Hearing protection provided by Seamless


Physical Requirements:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
