Shipping and Receiving Associate - Full Time Position

Jacksonville, Florida

Experience: 2 years

Education: High School Diploma is preferred

Salary Range: $18 - $23.50/hr

Essential Job Functions:

• Primary handler of incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conditions of shipments.

• Inspecting incoming materials for defect or damage and notifying appropriate staff of potential quality issues.

• Movement of shipments to appropriate staging locations throughout the facility.

• Provide final inspection to fit, form and function, to ensure all material is fit to ship.

• Ensure all material is securely and appropriately packaged.

• Ensure all documentation reflects the order/shipment exactly as intended.

• Ensure the shipping & receiving area is clean and organized.

• Other jobs as required.

Required Skills:

• Warehouse/Manufacturing Plant experience

• Forklift experience

• Packing

• Stocking

• Math – ability to work with mathematical concepts such as Algebra and Geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Able to prioritize tasks, develops good work procedures, adapts to change, open to new ideas

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.
